The finished film forms a tough barrier to vapor transmission. Typical Applications Dr. Fixit Bitufix is used for providing damp proofing for below ground concrete structures which are above the water table. The coating is also used as a moisture vapor barrier on block works and concrete surfaces prior to cladding. This can also be used as the protective coating for built- up roofing systems along with fabric. Application procedures may vary slightly depending upon site conditions. The general recommended guidelines for the application of the bitumen coating is as follows: 1 . SURFACE PREPARATION } The surface shall be cleaned thoroughly of all contaminants like dust, traces of curing compound, oil and grease. } All surface imperfections and protrusions are to be removed and repaired. Structurally unsound and friable concrete must be removed and repaired with a suitable repair mortar or PMM. 2. PRIMING } Primer is always recommended prior to coating as it not only penetrates into the concrete pores and seals the substrate. It also acts as an adhesion promoter for further coatings. The primer coat can be made in the site by diluting the same bitumen emulsion with 20% water. The primer may be applied by a brush, roller or airless spray. Allow the primer to dry before any further coats are applied. However, if the primer after application is left open for more than 24 hours after it becomes dry, clean the surface of any settled dust and apply a fresh coat of the primer. 3. APPLICATION } Stir the contents of the drum thoroughly prior to application to remove any sediment. The application can be done with a roller, brush or airless spray. Apply the coating at a coverage rate of 1-4 m2/Ltr/ coat, depending on the dry film thickness required. 2nd coat to be applied in a direction perpendicular to the 1st coat.

Maintain the spreading rate of 8-10 sq mtr per litre for a single coat application to achieve about 20 – 25 microns DFT. Allow it to dry for 6-8 hrs. 3 Application } Use Dr. Fixit Raincoat Waterproof Coating directly from the container. Stir contents well before use. } Apply one coats of Dr. Fixit Raincoat Waterproof Coating without dilution by brush or roller for rain lashing walls at the thickness of 120 – 130 microns. 2. Dr. FIXIT RAINCOAT WATERPROOF COATING 1. Surface preparation for previously painted surfaces: } Existing substrates must be cleaned to remove all dirt, mildew and other contaminants. Treat any areas affected by Algae, moss or fungal growth with biocide wash solution. This is accomplished by pressurecleaning equipment with a minimum capability of 100-140 bar water pressure. All grease, oils and asphalt materials must be removed completely. 643 Dr. Fixit Raincoat Waterproof Coating Dr. Fixit Raincoat Waterproof Coating UNI V ERSA L El ast o m eric EXTERI O R WATERPR OO F C O ATIN G 643 Raincoat WF Coating 13/2/18 141 Coatings & Paints } In repainting Dr. Fixit Primeseal can be eliminated based on existing paint condition. 2. Repainting application } The performance of Raincoat Waterproof Coating will depend upon the condition of the existing paint. If the existing paint film is flaking or has a weak bonding with the substrate then the subsequent coat of Raincoat Waterproof Coating will face the adhesion problem. } For a repainting work apply one coats of Dr. Fixit Raincoat Waterproof Coating without any dilution maintain the spreading rate of 3.5 -4.0 sq mtr per litre / coat application to achieve about 120-130 microns DFT. - Multi-component, gun and pouring grade, polysulfide sealant Uses Sealing movement joints in building and civil engineering structures, including superstructures, floors, basements and subways. Advantages ๏ฎ Meets key international standards ๏ฎ Forms a tough, elastic, rubber-like seal ๏ฎ Accommodates continuous and pronounced cyclic movement ๏ฎ Excellent adhesion to most common substrates, including primed concrete, glass, aluminium and stainless steel ๏ฎ High resistance to ageing reduces physical damage due to climatic extremes Description Thioflex 600 is available in gun and pouring grades. The gun grade is ideal for general application. It is packed in a ready to mix, 2.5 litre tin containing the base and curing agent in the correct proportions. The pouring grade for joints in horizontal surfaces is supplied in 5 litre packs with the base and curing agent in separate tins. Thioflex 600 is particularly recommended for use in high-rise buildings and other applications where access for subsequent maintenance will be difficult and the risk of early movement failure must be minimised. It is also suitable for sealing joints in brickwork, retaining walls, basements and subways. Thioflex 600 pouring grade is recommended for initial sealing of expansion joints and stress relief joints in floors and sealing other horizontal surfaces. Design criteria Thioflex 600 may be applied to joints between 5 and 50 mm wide. Joints which are expected to experience cyclic movements should be designed to an optimum width : depth ratio of 2:1, subject to the overriding recommended minimum sealant depths set out below: 5 mm for metals, glass and other non-porous surfaces; 10 mm for all porous surfaces; 20 mm for trafficked joints and those subject to hydrostatic pressures. To ensure that the sealant remains within its stated movement capacity (25% MAF), sealing slot widths should be designed in accordance with the recommendations of BS 6093. The use of a surface primer is always required on porous surfaces. On non-porous surfaces a primer is not normally required except where glass or glazed surfaces are to be permanently immersed in water.

| Type | Chemical mould release agent |
| Usage/Application | For quick, clean and easy stripping of moulds and formwork |
| Shelf Life | 12 Months |
| Specific Gravity | Typically 0.83 at 20oC. |
- For quick, clean and easy stripping of moulds and formwork.
- โ For high quality, fair-faced and stain-free concrete.
- Advantages
- โ Ensure easy release, reducing damage and improving efficiency of production.
- โ Minimises surface blemishes and staining, promoting high quality fair-faced concrete even with white cement.
- โ Reduces opportunity of damage to formwork, extending usable life.
- โ Minimises cleaning of formwork before re-use.
- โ Suitable for use with virtually all types of formwork.
- โ Inhibits corrosion of steel formwork.
- Standards compliance
- Category 5: Chemical release agent (Concrete Society: Notes on formwork lease agents and coatings. April 1981).
- Description
- Reebol chemical mould release agent is a specifically formulated blend of mineral oils and selected additives. It is supplied as a low viscosity, pale straw coloured liquid.
- On the mould, Reebol provides a chemical release action that is superior to that provided by normal oil based release agents (Concrete Society Categories 1 to 4). Entrapment of air bubbles at the mould surface is minimised, reducing surface blemishes and substantially reducing remedial costs.
- As well as improving cast concrete surfaces, Reebol also minimises damage to form surfaces. Corrosion on steel moulds is reduced. On all mould types the easier release and reduced residue minimise the chance of damage to the mould surface during stripping and cleaning. This extends the life of the surface and reduces the frequency of concrete defects caused by damage to the mould face.
- Technical support
- Fosroc provides a technical advisory service for on-site assistance and advice on admixture selection, evaluation trials and dispensing equipment. Technical data and guidance can be provided for admixtures and other products for use with fresh and hardened concrete.
- Properties
- Specific gravity: Typically 0.83 at 20oC.
- Reebol is designed for use on surfaces sealed with Reebol Formcote and is suitable for use on timber, both plain and polyurethane coated, steel, GRP and other resinous formwork surfaces.
- Instructions for use
- Mould preparation
- All moulds, new or used, must be cleaned of surface deposits of rust, concrete, oil or other materials. Inadequate cleaning may lead to surface blemishes due to the adhering material. The use of Fosroc’s Acid Etch and Chemical Degreaser will assist the cleaning process.
- If only limited use of the formwork is envisaged, new timber moulds may be coated directly with Reebol. If forms are to be regularly re-used then the surface should initially be coated with a suitable polyurethane sealer. This provides increased protection to the timber surface, improves ease of cleaning and prevents the build up of large residual levels of release agent in the timber of the form which may lead, over time, to increased surface dusting or retardation..
- Application
- Reebol can be applied by all normal methods, including brush, sponge and conventional spray. Where suitable, spray application is recommended.
- Non-absorbent surfaces require a single application. New, unsealed, timber surfaces should be re-coated if delay in use of the mould leads to absorption of the release agent in to the timber.
- Coverage rate
- Depending on the porosity and texture of the mould surface, typical coverage rates of 20 to 60 m2 per litre (0.015 to 0.050 litres per m2) will be obtainable.
